Dear travelers, at Magic Holidays we are excited to share with you some incredible news: Disney has confirmed a new expansion inspired by Cars for Magic Kingdom! We know many of you are big Pixar fans, so we can't wait to tell you all the details.
Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater arrive at Magic Kingdom
That's right, folks, Lightning McQueen and his trusty sidekick Tow Mater will soon be in the Frontierland area inside Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. This new expansion will completely transform this area of the park, creating a themed sub-sector dedicated exclusively to Cars.
Spectacular announcement at D23 Expo
This announcement was made during the D23 Expo, the world's largest convention for Disney fans, where they also revealed other projects that are underway for the Walt Disney World parks in Orlando. In the image that was shared, it can be seen that the new area of Cars will be built right behind Big Thunder Mountain - what a breathtaking view you will have from there!
Two new themed attractions
In this new area, you will be able to enjoy two incredible attractions. One of them will invite you to experience an exciting rally race through the mountains, facing wild terrain while climbing trails, dodging geysers and splashing in mud puddles, just the way Mater loves it!
The other attraction is designed for the little ones, but we assure you that the whole family will enjoy it. It is a perfect way to share magical moments together.
When does construction begin?
The works for this new area of Cars in Frontierland will begin in early 2025, so if you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to include this new expansion in your future itinerary!
