History of the Park

It opened on Earth Day 1998, and is Disney's largest park. It was designed with the goal of creating a themed experience that celebrates nature and conservation. The park has more than 200 hectares of land and is home to more than 1,700 animals of 250 species.

Areas

Animal Kingdom is divided into six different themed areas: Oasis, Discovery Island, Pandora,Africa, Asia and Dinoland U.S.A. Each area has its own charm and offers a unique experience.

Featured

One of the most outstanding features of Animal Kingdom is the Tree of Life, an icon over 47 meters tall, which has 325 animals carved into its bark. In addition, the park offers numerous animal exhibits, such as Kilimanjaro Safaris, a ride that will take you on a tour through an African reserve to see magnificent animals.

►Expedition Everest

A train ride to Mount Everest may sound entertaining, but beware! The Yeti takes good care of the mountains, and that leisurely ride can turn into a wild escape.

►Kilimanjaro Safaris

Come and be amazed in this jeep tour through an African reserve, where you will see animals such as elephants, giraffes, lions and many more animals.

► Kali River Rapids

You have decided to take a raft ride, but deforestation has caused the river to overflow, your mission, in this fun attraction, will be to not get wet.

► Dinosaur

Travel back in time to see dinosaurs in their natural habitat and save the iguanodon, but make sure you get back to the present before the meteorite falls.

► Avatar Flight of Passage

This exciting 4D simulator will take you on a journey through the world of Pandora. You will fly on the back of a banshee, while observing the floating mountains, wild fauna and bioluminescent flora.

► Na'vi River Journey

This beautiful boat ride will excite all your senses as you travel through Pandora's nocturnal jungle and listen to the wildlife and songs of the Na'vi tribe.

► Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and Majarah Jungle Trek

These walking trails in the African and Asian areas will allow you to see majestic gorillas, meerkats, tigers, bats and birds up close.

► Festival of the Lion King

This is Animal Kingdom's flagship show. Join the dancers, singers and acrobats as they tell the beloved story of "The Lion King."
