History of the Park
Located in the San Fernando Valley in the city of Los Angeles, Universal Studios Hollywood is a park like no other. It began as a production studio for movies and television series in 1912, but it wasn't until 1964 that it was expanded into a theme park.
This park not only opens its doors to movie lovers to travel to the worlds of their favorite films, but also invites fans to see the behind the scenes of some of the most iconic movie sets such as Back to the Future, Psycho, War of the Worlds, among many others.
Areas
The park consists of two levels and nine themed areas: Production Plaza, Minion Land, Hollywood, Jurassic World, Transformers Metrobase, Water World, Studio Tour Plaza, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the recently opened SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. Also, the Universal Studios Hollywood complex offers outside the park a shopping, entertainment and dining area called City Walk to continue enjoying after a day of adventure.
