History of the Park
EPCOT, which opened its doors on October 1, 1982, stands for "Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow".
It was created as a place to experience and showcase the latest advances in technology and culture from around the world. Walt Disney envisioned not a park, but, rather, a futuristic multicultural city where people would live and share developments in science, education and entertainment.Although this idea never became a reality, EPCOT Park celebrates the main features of Walt's original dream.
Areas
The park is divided into two main areas: World Celebration and World Showcase. World Celebration offers attractions and exhibits inspired by science, transportation, nature and communications. It features attractions such as Soarin', Test Track, Mission: SPACE, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, among others.
World Showcase is a tour of 11 country pavilions that celebrate the culture, gastronomy and architecture of different parts of the world. Among them are: Mexico, Norway, Germany, China, Italy, Japan, Morocco, France, United States, Canada and England.

EPCOT's main icon is its gigantic sphere known as Spaceship Earth, which symbolizes the planet Earth as a spaceship where we are all its crew members. Inside is an attraction of the same name, where visitors will travel through time to learn about the history of human communication, from the invention of writing to the creation of the Internet.

► Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
In this 4D family game, you will shrink to the size of a rat and experience Remy's adventures in the kitchen of the Gusteau restaurant.
