The end of an unforgettable era
After years of rumors about its possible closure, it is now official: permits filed with the South Florida Water Management District confirm that this iconic attraction will be demolished to make way for an exciting new project in the New York section of Universal Studios Florida.

An area of 2.5 square kilometers will be intervened, including:
- The complete removal of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
- Construction of two new buildings.
One of these structures will occupy part of the extended row of Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, but the exact details are still a mystery - we're sure Universal will surprise us with something spectacular!

The exact date of closure and details of its replacement have not yet been announced, but all indications are that we will have more official information in early 2025.
